Sacha introduced new and innovative winemaking techniques to Provence which revolutionized the styles of rosés being produced from this region. This led to the creation of Whispering Angel, a world class rosé which presents both ease and accessibility making for enjoyment and pleasure.

History: The first traces of the Chateau's site date back to Gaullist times. The Chateau's cellar structure or foundation housed an original Chateau that was given by the Comte de Provence to Gérard de Villeneuve, in 1201. The current château, inspired by Tuscan Villa design, was built during the mid 19th century. This estate is in the heart of the Esclans valley and has had many owners over the years, but what would change its destiny was the arrival of Sacha Lichine in 2006.
Regional Information: Located in the heart of Côtes de Provence, 40 kilometers north of the coast above Saint-Tropez (up in the rocky limestone hillsides of the valley of Esclans away from the sandy flatlands). Today, Château D'Esclans consists of 140 hectares of vineyards Primary grapes: Grenache: Red berry fruit / roundness / elegance / structure Rolle (Vermentino): Floral / aromatic / length / mouthfeel (producing estate vineyard and bottled rosés). The total property has 427 hectares.
