Vinification Details: Fruit is sourced from vineyards across the South-East. Grapes are grown predominantly on single and double guyot pruning systems, on varied soils including chalk, clay and loam. Cool fermentation in stainless steel followed by full malolactic fermentation. This wine has been matured on fine lees in tank for six months before bottling and has had an average of 18 months further ageing on lees in bottle. Winemaker - Josh Donaghay-Spire
History: The first vines were planted at Tenterden in the late 1970's and the vineyard has been continuously producing English wines from this site ever since. Chapel Down now has a large acreage under vine in Kent and beyond.
